Ingredients
  

  • For the Churro Layers:
  • 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing
  • For the Cheesecake Filling:
  • 2 blocks 8 oz each cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat & Prepare Baking Dish
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: Mix Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
  • In a small bowl, mix ½ cup granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Step 3: Create the Churro Base
  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Step 4: Make the Cheesecake Filling
  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the churro dough base.
  • Step 5: Add the Top Layer
  • Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the cheesecake layer.
  • Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
  • Step 6: Bake the Churro Cheesecake
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake layer is set.
  • Step 7: Cool & Slice
  • Allow the churro cheesecake to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • Cut into squares and serve warm or chilled.

Notes

For Extra Crispiness: Let the churro cheesecake cool completely before slicing to allow the layers to firm up.
Make It Spicier: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cayenne pepper to the cinnamon-sugar for a slight kick.
