Step 1: Crush the Oreos
Place all 36 Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
If you don’t have a food processor, put the Oreos in a ziplock bag and crush them using a rolling pin until fine crumbs are achieved.
Step 2: Mix with Cream Cheese
Transfer the crushed Oreos to a large mixing bowl.
Add the softened cream cheese and mix until well combined. The mixture should be smooth and dough-like.
Step 3: Form the Balls
Scoop out small portions of the Oreo mixture (about 1 inch in diameter) and roll them into smooth balls using your hands.
Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 4: Chill the Balls
Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes or until they are firm.
Step 5: Melt the Chocolate
Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stove.
Step 6: Dip the Oreo Balls in Chocolate
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Let excess chocolate drip off before placing the coated balls back onto the parchment paper.
Step 7: Add Toppings & Let Them Set
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle toppings such as crushed Oreos, sprinkles, or drizzled chocolate.
Allow the Oreo balls to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Step 8: Serve & Enjoy!
Once the chocolate has set, transfer the Oreo balls to a serving plate and enjoy!
