  • ✔️ ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ✔️ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ✔️ ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ✔️ 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • For the Quesadillas:
  • ✔️ 4 large flour tortillas
  • ✔️ 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend
  • ✔️ ½ cup diced bell peppers optional
  • ✔️ ½ cup diced onions optional
  • ✔️ 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
  • For Serving Optional:
  • ✔️ Sour cream
  • ✔️ Guacamole
  • ✔️ Salsa
  • ✔️ Fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Steak
  • 1️⃣ In a bowl, mix the steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and lime juice. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor).
  • Step 2: Cook the Steak
  • 🔹 Grill Method:
  • 1️⃣ Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F / 200°C).
  • 2️⃣ Grill the steak for 3-4 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • 3️⃣ Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  • 🔹 Skillet Method:
  • 1️⃣ Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
  • 2️⃣ Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes per side until nicely seared.
  • 3️⃣ Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Quesadillas
  • 1️⃣ Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt ½ tablespoon butter.
  • 2️⃣ Place a tortilla in the skillet, then sprinkle ½ cup of shredded cheese evenly over one half.
  • 3️⃣ Add sliced steak, bell peppers, and onions (if using) on top of the cheese.
  • 4️⃣ Fold the tortilla in half and press lightly with a spatula.
  • Step 4: Cook the Quesadillas
  • 1️⃣ Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
  • 2️⃣ Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
  • Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!
  • 1️⃣ Slice the quesadillas into wedges and serve with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or lime wedges.
