  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries
  • Rinse the strawberries under cold running water and pat them dry.
  • Remove the green tops (hull) and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on size.
  • If the strawberries are slightly tart, sprinkle them with 1 tablespoon of sugar and let them sit for 10–15 minutes to release their natural juices.
  • Step 2: Whip the Cream
  • In a chilled mixing bowl, pour in the heavy whipping cream.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Using a hand mixer or whisk, beat the mixture until soft peaks form. (Be careful not to overwhip, or it will turn grainy.)
  • Step 3: Assemble the Dessert
  • In serving bowls or glasses, layer the strawberries and whipped cream.
  • Gently fold some strawberries into the whipped cream for an evenly blended texture.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or chocolate shavings for a decorative touch.
  • Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
  • Serve immediately for the best texture or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.

Notes

✔ For a thicker texture, use clotted cream or mascarpone instead of whipped cream.
✔ To prevent overwhipping, stop mixing once soft peaks form. If overwhipped, fold in a little unwhipped cream to fix it.
✔ For dairy-free options, use coconut cream or cashew cream as an alternative.
✔ For a healthier version, swap sugar for honey or maple syrup and use Greek yogurt instead of cream.
✔ Enhance the flavor by drizzling balsamic reduction or adding a splash of orange liqueur.
